** IMPORTANT! **
If you are a Stanislaus County Resident, for your protection, it is important that before you schedule a class, you read and understand the CCW Policy of the Stanislaus County Sheriff's Department (www.scsdonline.com click on Forms). If you do not understand their policy, please call them at (209) 525-7117.
This course is designed to satisfy the requirements for CCW issuance in California. Our CCW training certificates are accepted in Stanislaus County, San Joaquin County, City of Manteca, City of Ripon, Mariposa County, Merced County, and Tuolumne County.
While there is no guarantee of issuance, this course is also the perfect introduction to firearms (pistol) training. You will leave with new skills and confidence in the safe operations of the pistol, with an understanding of the use of firearms for self-defense.
Course Length….…..2 days
NOTE: We are unable to keep tabs on which counties are issuing CCW Permits and which are not (although we do our best). We have limited information on this topic. Please check with your issuing agence (The LE Agency of the county/city in which you currently reside).

*VDC goes to great lenghts to train and ensure that each student understands the material. We are well known for working with our students through both emotional and physical challenges. Please note that for the safety of each student, as well as the general public, we will hold the CCW training certificate for any student that is unable to successfully complete the skills test, marksmanship test, and/or written test. If you fail to pass any of these tests your certificate will be held until you can successfully complete the test/s at the end of DH1 (must be completed within 90 days of failing any CCW test.) We have never, in 5 years, had any complaints re this policy, and want to note that this is a very rare situation. If you have any questions please email us.
